In Textra Settings > Customize Notifications > Press on the word Android Settings > (Advanced) Sound > Ringtone.

b. Per contact notification

Long hold on any contact in the conversation list screen > dotdotdot (top right) > Customize > Notifications > Press on the word Android Settings > (Advanced) Sound > Ringtone.
