TextraWeb (web interface for Textra)
Basically, something very close to WhatsApp Web; a web interface that locally (not cloud based) connects to the phone and allows messaging & interaction from a browser UI.
Right now, there is a very small subset of services that do "online texting" - MightyText and Pushbullet are the major two players. DeskSMS used to be popular, but isn't supported by the developer and has largely been removed from the Play Store. Today, MightyText put a nail in their own coffin by limiting free accounts to 500 messages per month, which will make most serious free-tier users leave or look elsewhere.
In my opinion, Textra is the premiere SMS application. I find it to be the best texting application that I have ever used. It has wonderful features, wonderful design, and was clearly built with love and thought. I would love to see the application become even more accessible with a web UI :)
I am a web developer by profession and I spend most of my day messaging. I would love to help build something like this, if you guys are ever looking for a developer to help out (for free) I would be more than glad to chat.
Thank you to all of the developers and team members who make Textra such a great experience.

I think I may make the switch too. I love the app and its paid features but at this point I can let go all of that for web messaging.

How can I print text messages from textra off my android that I broke my subscription? I see the messages on the phone.

I wonder why Textra ain't doing anything or said anything regarding this.
When I posted this suggestion on Google Play, they replied with pushbullet.
Android Messages.

And I'm another one that bites the dust and leaves Textra for Android messages.
Too little, too late, Textra. If you're not going to get with the times, you get left behind.

I've used Textra for 3 years along with Mighty Text that I paid for. When Mighty raised it's renewal pricing I left them and went to Android messages because of the web interface. Textra is so much better on all levels than messages, however lacking this one feature of web based messaging I've been forced to change. Please consider even if a premium version.

Moved over to android messages until Textra has a web interface. I have been a pro user for about 5 years now. Will happily move back once it is up.

I'm considering, with pain, the possibility to move out from Textra to Android Messages because of the lack of web interface. Getting tired of going back and forth. C'mon Textra, you must implement it, please!!!!!

Come on Textra. You need to add this. I keep jumping back to Messages because of this missing feature. Throw us a bone please!

I can't get Textra tile to move anywhere. I do the long hold and drag but it won't move. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but that didn't work. I really want to get it on my home page

Just chiming in on this. I switched from Android Messaging to Textra about a year ago when my Galaxy S8 eliminated the bulk of customization. Would really be handy to have a web-based version (like the one that's been around for years for Android Messaging)

This is basically why I stopped using Textra in favor of Android Messages; they have a Web version. Actually, any and all messaging apps I use now have a web version, as it's 2019 and not 1995.

I just made the switch from textra to android messages. :(
I hope that they offer web interface soon. I'd be willing to even offer up some development assistance if needed.

I've actually switched from textra to android messages until they provide something like this. It would make my life so much easier to use this with textra.

It's unfortunate Textra refuses to listen to its Users' feedback in over 2 years; you're absolutely losing Users daily to other messaging platforms that offer a web interface - including Premium Users such as myself.
I think Textra is a beautifully made app with a lot of great features but to not have a web interface in today's busy, work cluttered age - no thanks.
