Message Transfer

I have used Textra for the entire time I have owned my Galaxy S4. Now I finally upgraded to the Edge+ but when I use smart switch to transfer my messages they don't show up on my Edge+ after the transfer is completed. My wife on the other hand does not use Textra and her messages transferred without a problem, same phone upgrade.

    I just switched from a Nexus 4 to a Nexus 5x and I'm having the same issue. How do we transfer messages from an old phone to a new one?
