International Date Format

I know several people who tried this app and dropped it because of date format. Why doesn't it use Android settings for date format like, uh, every other app ever? Can you give me an idea if this will ever happen, otherwise I need to move on.

    I agree.
    99% of the world uses date/month/year. Why are we stuck with a system that only one country uses?
