This! I have left Textra (Pro!) and gone back to Google Messenger for this feature. It is much more fluid, easy to use, faster, and intuitive. I love that the conversation updates and stays available in the status bar until you dismiss it.

This, please please please. Not only is it so much better than what's currently implemented, but now that I'm running Android 7.0 it's made me stop using Textra.

The redesigned notifications and heads-up replies was one of the features I was most looking forwards to... and Textra doesn't support it.

Add please. It's much better than the current quick reply. Now that it is added into AOSP, I'd say it was time to use it and ditch the current one. It is much more fluid and you can even see some of the conversation if you're in the notification panel.

Please make this happen. It's the one thing I find is missing from this great app

This needs to be done to stay current. Other SMS apps are going to this, even Google. It makes replying that much quicker.
