Make Textra have the ability to send videos from any source, like my camera or SnapChat please!
When trying to attach a video into a message, Textra will not show ANY video taken with my phone or other app in the list of pictures that i have taken. It only shows photos. If I can't use Textra to send videos taken with my camera or SnapChat then I will have to get rid of Textra. My default messaging app does this with no problem.

Hy,
I get what you mean being able to send videos from any source would make Textra way more flexible, especially with how much content people share across apps now. One workaround I’ve been using is downloading clips first, then sharing them like regular files. For TikTok videos, tools like https://dvtik.com/ help grab clean, high-quality versions without watermarks, which makes sharing smoother. It’s not the same as native support, but it does make things easier until apps like Textra add broader media integration. -

I get why people want Textra to support sending videos from more places. Messaging feels limited when you can’t easily share clips you’ve just created or discovered elsewhere. A lot of users today move between camera apps, social platforms, and niche video communities, so smoother sharing really matters. I’ve noticed the same issue when I find short creative clips or indie videos on smaller platforms and then can’t quickly pass them along in a chat. That kind of friction breaks the flow of conversation. Hopefully Textra considers how people actually discover content now, especially with short-form video hubs popping up everywhere, like the kind you see on sites such as https://thetabootube.com.

All you have to do, is start with the video you want to send, select it, press on the share option and choose Textra.

I couldn't agree more - I will be looking for another app that allows me to attach a video. Too bad - I really liked Textra.

I concur. Make a Pro version if you must. As the poster said my Android message does this. But if course it lacks some Time coolness. But the video thing is a deal breaker.
