Encrypt communications between Textra users using Open Whisper Systems cryptography.
Open whisper systems is an open source initiative audited by top cryptographers to further the use of cryptography in everyday communications and to better protect our privacy. The technology is even recommended by Edward Snowden.
Google just launched "allo" which incorporates code from 'signal messenger' which is run by Open Whisper Systems. Despite this I don't exactly trust Google to not share my data, and not many people use signal messenger.
I think it would be really cool and provide real additional value to the app. Meanwhile it also incentivises more people to use Textra, and more people to stay with Textra.
You already have imo the best texting app in the store, why not make it even greater?
