Textra for PC/desktop
Will Textra ever consider building a PC version of the app so users can read SMS on a desktop computer? That would be so great!

My Android just died and I'm left without access to texting because Textra dosn't offer a version via Chrome or Windows. If Textra offered a Chrome extension or WIndows app I'd be able to keep txtng via my cell # on my Windows tablet while my phone gets repaired. I'd also be willing to pay a one-time or monthly fee to access these features. I hope Textra developers are considering this idea. Right now I'll be using a combo of Google voice/hangouts and Cortana to stay in touch with folks while my Android gets repaired.

Pulse allows texting via PC. Textra is a better phone texting app, but probably switching to Pulse for texting on PC. Unlesa Textra gets the message and adds the feature.

Pulse does PC texting and it's a good app. I really like it.

That would indeed be something I would highly value. I just realized that I cannot use Textra while at the office on my computer. Hmmm. I'm going to look around a text handler that allows me to do that.

I would it more than anything else if it supported bluetooth connectivity.

Agree. I'm a Textra pro user and would love to be able to send from my PC. I guess that would rely on it utilising Wifi in some way. I use WhatsApp on my PC so it would be nice to not have to check my phone at this time to see if I have texts. It's a convenience thing more than anything. A: I'm already using my PC and B: I type a lot faster on my PC.

Textra for PC would be amazing. The features are much better than the other messaging apps that are currently available for PC.

So the problem is you can't necessarily send or receive an SMS without a device on a cell network. I suppose you could add Bluetooth connected support, or sync across the Internet in some way with your device. So if your phone is either local (Bluetooth) or on and connected to the Internet, then via your computer you could send/receive SMS/MMS via syncing.
Not sure useful to me, but it's not as simple as just creating a desktop application.
