I love that you give users lots of ways to customize the app. that's part of what makes Textra so great! however, sometimes I just want to quickly change my color scheme. having to choose from the multitude of background colors, and then also pick an accent color that looks good with the background color is just too time-consuming. to be clear, don't get rid of this feature for those people that really want to tweak things. However, have that mode be behind an advanced button. the user should first be presented with a variety of preset color schemes that could be chosen from. this would allow the user to pick the background and accent color all at once. the other problem with the current way of doing things is that once I pick the two colors, I need to exit out to see how it actually looks. it wouldn't be quite as bad if it modified how the screen looked in real time as I selected the background and accent colors. lastly, with the preset color combinations that you make, one idea would be to have at least 12 of them to mirror the themes of every month such as red and green for Christmas in December, orange for Halloween in October, Brown for Thanksgiving in November, Etc that is typically when I change my color schemes... As I enter each season.
