Android Wear
add in the ability to download the Textra app in Android Wear 2.0 devices so it will have the full functionality like Android messages. Textra already works through Android Wear but only to reply when a message comes in, no ability to initiate a message from an Android Wear device.

Actually with the new updates to the OS etc there's a workaround to initiate (there kinda has always been). If it helps, I'm currently on a Ticwatch E, Wear OS version 1.4 Google Play Services 12.6.85 and Android 8.0.0. Watch is brand new as of yesterday and updated everything. I also use Textra on my phone and was looking for a solution to initiate a text. This AM I got a nice surprise when I went to call my friend from the "contacts" and noticed there was messaging too. I clicked their phone number with the message icon next to it, it brought up google assistant so I could dictate. No I dont think it would work for super long messages and you can't edit, but that's what the actual phone is for. This functionality has kinda always been there (tell Google Assistant "text so-and-so) but it's always been hazy for me because I have many contacts whose name sounds the same or it's not pronounced how it's spelled (I had to resort to using full names and it was annoying). This way you can choose yourself when G Assistant doesn't understand.
