I just upgraded from a Stardust to a Galaxy J2 Prime. The Stardust was 39.99 in 2013. This J2 Prime was purchased April 2018 for 127.99. A lot for someone not working.

I am on Safelink and (We still have to pay to upgrade phones.)

This newer, costlier model still runs Lollipop, & I'm seeing apps ignore us. I am very sad to see Textra's "Turn on and off mobile automatically after sending MMS" only working with Marshmallow now?
I cannot even receive an MMS without Mobile Data on always.

I know I am on Safelink thru T-Mobile, and there were much more costly phones to choose. However 39.99 to 127.99 was a LOT for me, with help.

I love Textra, I've tried many. Best for the eyes, best all around. There used to be websites like "OldVersion.com" where you can go to an earlier version.
(I am still a fan of and using desktop PC's running Windows XP.)

Do app companies/creators offer this type of site of older versions?

I plan on keeping this phone at least 5 years like my old Stardust.

At least Textra worked with Stardust by turning data on and off. Yet I still run Lollipop and now it does not, sadly, as my data drains while home on Wi-Fi.

Is anyone else in this situation?

Again, Textra is hands down the best, and I used to beta test programs for a living! Believe me, tried many, many failed. Sometimes too many bells and whistles are not needed. This program meets basically 99% of my needs! Thank you!!! 😎
