fix MMS errors
I went through this not too long ago. I just get a repeating notification MMS timeout error. Fix it that's a great idea.

I have the same issue, it just started recently and doesn't happen with the "stock" Messages app. The old thread referencing a bug in Android 7.0 is obviously not applicable.
