temporary mute
Give the option to temporarily mute notifications for a conversation for an hour, 12 hours, 24 hours, whatever. There are times when group chats in particular wander off in directions that don't concern me and I don't need to be notified of every message while my mom and sisters discuss an upcoming shopping trip in the family thread

Textra is great, but this is the one feature that is sorely missing. There are multiple reasons someone might want to temporarily mute - conversation goes off topic, want to get some work done, etc.
Ideally, the user should be able to choose each time how long they want to temporarily mute the conversation. And at the end of the temporary mute, if there are any unread messages, display the new message notifications like they were just received.
