I would love to see an organization update.

this update would include the ability to create "Sections" (example, Family, Work, Unknown Numbers). If anyone in those groups messages you then it'll be placed into that collapsible section. Each section would have an order number associated to keep them in the order of most important to the least

along with sections, maybe also include folders concepts as an alternative. it'll still have the regular message list layout, but you can have the option to swipe left/right to go into "organized folders" so you can see people in groups instead of jumbled together.
