This one is a deal-breaker for me, and it is honestly the main reason I am currently using Google Messages. I really want to use Textra, even without the ability to archive. Anyway, I have noticed when I receive multiple SMS messages from the same person, I am only able to read a short snippet of each one unless I unlock my phone and open the app. Other messaging apps seem to combine these messages, so that I can read the whole thread without having to unlock my phone and open the app. If you are able to make this change I'm pretty sure I would use Textra once again. For what it's worth.
