This would be an awesome option! At least for the popup on the lockscreen to show who sent the message (as opposed to showing who sent the message and a snippet of the message). Please incorporate :)

I really desire this option too. Popup appears on the Lockscreen, Enter your reply and send or you can tap another button to open the app -->you get the lockscreen, then still need to enter your password to unlock...

Textra's biggest missing feature is the ability to view and reply to messages when the phone is locked ie. lockscreen quickreply.

I've only found one app that does this properly - Handcent:

1. When an SMS arrives, the popup appears on the lockscreen and you can reply or dismiss it

2. If you ignore it and the screen turns off or you turn the screen off, if you later turn on the screen, the popup will still be there ready for you to reply, dismiss or ignore it again

I've come to the conclusion that the Handcent author must have discovered a way to make this work that he/she is keeping secret and few if any other Android developers know given the rarity of this feature in SMS apps, yet the strong demand for it

It would rock, once I unlock the phone, to see the popup. Right now that isn't possible.

It's what I presume, as well. Give us a popup even if screen is locked :)

I think he is mentioning the lockscreen notification where we can swipe and it opens the message.
