chomp sms is the' sister's app for textra. it appears as if chomp may be the first version of the two while textra was developed to improve style and feel. textra has less options (edit , customize, colors ,etc.) but operates smoother with a trendy simplistic feel yet highly customizable compared to the average stock messaging app.

long story short textra looks better, feels better and may in fact just be BETTER than chomp. I've spent considerable time with both platforms as my default application for messaging. textra seems to get more updates while chomp already allows the user to customize SO MUCH that updates are rarely adding features but maybe fixing a big here or there.

a third one. a third mesgajng all pretty much combining the two apps ...chomps variety of customization along with textras smooth graphics will definitely be a good idea. the best of both apps combined into one super app? good idea? & what's the deal with chomp is it considered out of date? or actively and regularly updated like textras? any plans on a third messaging app?
