I get so many auto SMS notifications for deliveries, subscriptions, bank, public health board, much more. 2FA ones I delete, but many others I like to keep for later reference. But some of them send from 2-3 different numbers each, which clogs up my message list a lot. I'd like to be able to combine all the messages into one chat, e.g. if I designate this contact has 3 "mobile" numbers, they could all show as one thread. It would be helpful since it's not a number you're usually texting back, it's mainly only incoming messages. Then you could long press or something to see which specific # one was sent from, in case you do need to reply (e.g. where they ask you to reply CONFIRM for a doctor appointment). thanks for considering!
