Finally I got to something that I can get behind. The top three requests are undoable and/or simply not pragmatic. This one however I just can't figure out why it wasn't addressed long ago. I really think it's time for a visual makeover. It's getting long in the teeth. While I do appreciate the effort to bring new capabilities, these capabilities are beginning to clash with the layout. (That and now that I need readers my text has to be larger. lol)
So yes, we need color control over the background AND the keyboard. The background should be easy enough. But when you do it, PLEASE include an updated color-picker. Since you just initiate the subroutine to have the user choose a color which then sets the variable it should be plug and play. And you don't have to do it from scratch. there's one at git-hub that should work just fine. https://github.com/syslogic/androidx-colorpicker

Putting a wallpaper behind the keyboard, without the option to change it back is wrong. Makes it more difficult to see the letters. Let us choose

I don't care about wallpaper - contrast of the background and text is MUCH more important. Let us change the color of the text to make it readable.

I'm sorry but people sure do ask a lot from an already awesome and very reasonably priced app, well the developers I should say

I think we should be able to theme each contact like we can for the main theme,and have a regular black for bubble themes or just an option to make are own colors

Can we go back to being able to give each contact person their own theme color?

Can we also get an option to change the navigation bar colors? It is a bit weird applying the dark theme but having a white navigation bar. Certain apps like Sync for Reddit support navigation bars that match the title bar color. Hope to see this feature added soon!
