It would be nice to have the ability to filter block sms messages for example I keep getting sms from emails @hotmail or outlook. I'd like to be able to input that and have my phone automatically block msg fitting that description.

I too would like to blacklist a number without having to text them first. I worked around this by blocking the contact using Verizon Wireless's website. Just type in the phone number and the carrier blocks it for you directly.

when you blacklist, what happens to the messages? 1. do they know you blacklisted them 2. if you unblacklist can you then see the messages

IanJ, if you can't blacklist the number until you receive a call/text, that sort of defeats the purpose.

Blacklist is available all you do is long press on number and in options you add to blacklist

Yeah please include a private box similar to GoSMS. Would make this undoubtedly the best SMS app
