Full support for MightyText
Can you please find a way to fully support MightyText and other apps that send messages through the phone? I realize this is due to your app using its own database for texts but can you please find a way for it to fully sync with the stock database as currently it only syncs from the Textra database to the stock one, not the other way around.

agreed - have had textra installed as a finale replacement for GoSMS and Handcent but unfortunately cannot keep it due to it not supporting MightyText. Please please look into this!

Yes to this idea! Just installed Textra and love it, but am now realizing that I can't use Mighty Text.. will have to uninstall until Mighty Text is supported :-(

Please make this happen! I love textra, but I'm about to leave it because of this.

It's just so frustrating that they won't even comment on this to at least say they are working on it. What's the point of soliciting user advice if you ignore the most complained about issue with your app and release pointless features like GIF plugins instead. I realize they use their own database for performance reasons but how about an option on first install so we can decide how we want the app to work. Like on first install give us the option for "Performance mode" where is uses the Textra database or "Legacy mode" where is uses the stock one. At least then everyone could be happy.

+1 for this - if it can work with the stock messagig app and Hello SMS then presumably it can be made to work for Textra too. Would be much appreciated.

Yep dealbreaker for me because of Tasker. Same issue.

I completely agree, and, sadly, this is a dealkiller for me -- I loved Textra but upon discovering this, it's getting uninstalled.

I just discovered Textra. I've been in love with it for 3 days. But today I discovered the limitation with MightyText. Textra only shows incoming messages, not the outgoing ones I send via MightyText. I really, *really* like Textra. It's *way* better than the stock messaging app on my Galaxy S4 (4.2.2). I've already been using it as my primary messaging app. But not being able to see both halves of the conversation when I look back through history won't work for me. *Please* address this. This is too good an app to let a problem like this stop it. I am willing to pay you to do so. Please tell us what it will take and how I/we can help you. Thanks!

I use mightytext at work and will be looking for a different SMS app for the phone, the lack of an outgoing SMS showing in Textra is weird.

Is there any update on this? It's been months and KitKat seems to be bringing new bugs due to this non-standard database. I have found several times where messages sent in textra are not backed in the stock one anymore making it impossible to properly backup all text messages using third party backup programs. It's just a shame because aside from this Textra is far and away the best SMS app for Android.

I use Tasker to send SMS. Just like the other, any text sent from Tasker, never appears in the Textra. This has caused many issues for me. A 2-way sync would rock!

Same issue with DeskSMS. Not providing support for these types of apps will stop me from using Textra. Also, the knowledge base pertaining to this same topic is unclear on the solution. Sad to see such a good SMS replacement app not provide support for these other companion apps that are so popular.

I've given up any hope of this being addressed. It's been a top request for quite some time now and the developers of this app won't even acknowledge this problem.

Agreed with one of the above comments. If your architecture differs from the norm, and precludes functionality that is normally expected, and especially if users requesting for it, then they should at least have been addressed/tracked.
its been about 6 months, and the only information is some twitter posts between the two development teams. not exactly the most confidence inducing behavior I've seen

I'd like to send a photo from Gallery through MMS (Textra) --> feature required here as well :/
But I assume it's a very challenging and major evolution I guess.
Keep up the good work!! -

l l agree with the above comments, Very frustrating! Can we please have this feature added? Textra is a great app, but this feature would make it perfect! Being able to use Mightytext would just be awesome, and if anything would increase the app's (Textra 's) popularity.

This needs to be addressed sooner rather then later. If as a developer you choose to not use the stock android SMS database like every other SMS app in existence you should be much quicker to address the bugs that come from the short sighted decision.

Same problem with mySMS. I want to use Textra on the phone but when I'm at home/work it is much more comfortable to use computer and keyboard.
