I am traveling abroad and textra starts a new conversation thread for incoming messages, instead of using the existing conversation history. I found a solution to use the resync function in textras settings > about. Textra DELETED the old threads and kept the new threads with only a few messages. All the conversations, all the pictures, all the history, GONE. I am so sad right now. There was no warning. Textra should prefer the older history, or give users the option, or blend the two together in the first place. I am so upset with textra right now. Yes, there are other sms backup apps, but the resync option doesn't suggest that you backup before you use it. Overall, I have greatly enjoyed this app, but now I am quite upset.
