Just some thoughts about web and watch appsm
I know I'm opening a huge can of worms here. there is a strong amount of support requesting a web version of textra. I've also seen numerous threads requesting that the app be extended to wear devices which makes a lot of sense. I also understand that if you did so, It could result in a long trip down a development black hole where you are doing a ton of work without any real financial gain for it. Today I found myself wishing for a web app. I decided I wanted to put an 8-in tablet on my dash so I can listen to Amazon music, converse with Alexa, use google maps and in a split pane, manage sms. It can be done, but very ugly and finicky. What it really calls for is a higher level of integration. Samsung has some nice features for sharing the screen with a Samsung tablet but using it with Textra is ugly. couldn't use a fire tablet for this which is what I really wanted to do. meanwhile I'm backing up messages to Google drive. I got to thinking that maybe the reason you might not want to engage in something with a web version is because it would require a web based resource for all of the messages for all users which of course would drive up the costs. So supposing that this is the main reason that you haven't provided web and watch apps, I'm wondering if you had considered that our own backup databases saved to Google drive might fill that gap.
You guys are the developers, not me. Lol So maybe that's just completely impossible but I thought I would throw it out there just in case because I really would like Web Access for my computer, tablets, and gear watch.
