I switched to Extra after Signal phased out SMS support.

Although there is a previous suggestion to add a simple numerical or pattern lock, I feel a better option would be to use the Android OS screen lock mechanism to unlock the app, which would allow the user to use any method available -- custom, variable length, secure password, biometric, etc. This is much more secure than a simple 4 digit pin.
