Copy and paste of text in sms
Would like to know if you can add copy and paste from SMS? Love the app but find if I need to copy text or address from messages I have to go back to the messaging app for that functionality. For example if I need to copy a number for an email or something I have to go back to stock.
Rolling out in release v3.25 now. If you cannot wait, please email developer@textra.me

Tried the ai.type keyboard as recommended below. Awesome keyboard but doesn't help with received texts.

I use textra on two devices, no copy selection on received texts for me. Can only copy entire text - not the important snippet enclosed

Yes text selection is badly needed. It is absolutely ridiculous that this feature isn't implemented, and a real shame as I like the simplicity and design of the app otherwise.

Selective copy. For example, copy an address to use in Google Maps. copy security token sent by bank, copy phrase to search in a browser. etc!

you mean text selection? as copy is available. but yes you have to copy the entire message then edit it once pasted into your selected app.

A better solution is for the user to install ai. type keyboard which has built-in text selection and copy/paste capabilities. The ai. type keyboard is far superior to the Google stock keyboard that is available on most of the Android phones, provides a consistent copy/paste interface across all apps, and eliminates the need for an app developer to implement custom copy paste functionality.
