Tetra is very prolific with their bot texts when every boring version update comes out - you think they could extend the effort to let's us no how they are going to fix this issue. It's a big deal, I'm missing incoming messages....

You are wrong. It does not work on Samsung S8 even though other badges do show unread count.

I have a new cell phone, LG L64VL , software Android version 7.0. I downloaded Textra 3.42 which is the same that I had on my old LG cell phone. On my old phone, when I got a text, there was a number for how many texts I got on the icon at the bottom of the phone. On my L64VL, I don't have the number of text on my icon. I did download Nova with Tesla Unread (I'd read to do that) and it does put up a notice in my notification tray, but that is not what I want. I want to have the number of unread texts on the Textra ICON at the bottom of the phone. How can I get it?

Textra is no longer showing unread messages on the icon. It was working in April. This is an important feature that saves having to enter the app to check for new messages.

Every other texting app out there, even ChompSMS which is made by the same company supports unread badges. But for whatever reason, Textra never has for me... I just don't get it??

After the latest update. There was alwas 1 unread count. Even all messages were read. After re installing. Bye bye no more badges

This feature should be smartphone 101. I will never purchase a phone that does not have a message counter on home screen. Not acceptable
