since May 5 2025 messages from the same person and number are not being recognized as coming from them. I have two separate strings although their number has not changed and they are in my contacts. This has occured with two correspondents. At first I thought this was because I had been using an esim with data only on a recent trip but this started with a second contact 4 days later. I can preview their message which is notified but when I click on it, only the messages they sent prior to my travel appear and no more recent messages appear although these were both visible yesterday and were strung along with the earlier messages. Not sure what is going on but I switched to Google Messages and it correctly recognizes and opens all of these as coming from the same number.
