Single thread for a contact with multiple numbers
I have friends with several mobile numbers (i.e. private, work, private2..) and so it is very convinient to have all the contacts' numbers in one thread.
Actually it was a surprise when I moved from HTC's native sms app which handled multiple numbers to 3rd party apps which couldn't (except the one I found through forums - Messages+).
Also it would help to keep your conversation list clean from your carrier. Because I have 20 numbers from which the carrier attacks me with his ads.

No need to create a single thread, just put an identifier (or the option of an identifier) next to the name such as an emoji.
Name (heart)
Name (office)
Name (sun)
Name (night) -
That's my Question, too - and I live in Netherlands, where Providers seem to have less Influence on my Call/SMS Habits, it's different from USA, my Phone isn't Branded, and WiFi Calling is generally used, without an ISP who could limit my Preferences like Voip, calling on WiFi.. But I need to know how to stay organized with lots of Apps like Heyward, Groove IP, Text+, ICQ, I have many additional Virtual Numbers, US numbers, and my SIM card number isn't necessarily the most important of my Numbers, does Textra support this?

Please can this be started as most people have mobiles, work phones, landlines etc. I will have to jump off textra as I was unknowingly texting landlines if this is unable to be changed. Thanks

It would be very comfortable if the first number appearing was the "default" number on contact file, or the "mobile" phone number. It make no sens to have first Fax number, house number, pro number.....

This should be implemented as an option at the contact level...might actually WANT to text different texts to a person based on work or home mobile devices.

To Palestine: I think it is comfortable if a number (or a name for a number, as Andy Paradis mentioned) is displayed above the date and time of received message. Not every message, but only the first one in the conversation and if it is changed to another. So if you type an answer it should go to the last used number by your contact. Also I think there should be an option to alter this to answer to a predefined number by default.
So all in all there should be these options:
1. answer to the number from which you received the last message;
2. answer to another number by selecting apparently the number you wish before sending a message;
3. always answer to the default number;
and
4. show the number above (or under) the date and time of received/sent message (only if it is the first one or if the number has changed from the one which was in the last message);
5. show a custom name instead of the number (such as 'work', 'vodafone' and so on). -

Also display numbers name as seen in contact list. You can create a custom name for phone numbers.

I'd love for this as well, but my question is how would you managed to differentiate between which number you're texting to each time without preselecting it, and how would you consistently know which to reply to
