How can I delete old pop audio messages

Settings~system apps~messages~then turn off option that says "display received messages in pop up window"

the only way i can stop banners on my locked screen is to shut off notifications hence I don't know when I receive texts? Really???? i have a locked screen so no one can read my text ? privacy.

Yes! Please have this option. It is not in the settings as others have suggested. I tried using my phone's master settings to stop the pop ups, but textra somehow overrides that. I'm uninstalling unless there's a way to fix that. Way too annoying

there should be an option to suppress the pop-up message while you're currently in the app, or maybe just currently talking to that person. there is no need for a floating notification if you are currently engaged in a conversation with the person, it just becomes distracting.

I turned off floating notification as someone mentioned below, but I still get msg pop-ups. I do not want that. Please add an option to turn them off, or if it already exists, please tell me how to do so.

If you swipe right on the popup it goes away immediately

If you have a problem with this, please look in the settings and hit "notifications" then "Floating Notification" either locked or unlocked. At the very top there is an option labelled "off". Hit that. Problem solved. Please look at settings before complaining.

I e-mailed support about this yesterday and the person who replied said it could done in settings, which we all know it cannot. But not only are there pop-ups that can't be disabled, mine are usurping the lock screen so anyone can read my text messages. And as if that wasn't bad enough, if I do try to use to the pop-up to reply, the reply doesn't send. I think they should disable it altogether and add it back when it's both functional and customizable. In the meantime, I'll have to decide on another app.

Yes, this is the only thing I hate about the app. Give me an option. I don't want it on my lock screen. I don't mind when the phone is open.
