    I want this feature too. I uninstalled Textra before solely for the reasons of being too heavy on the battery. Could you implement it like in 8sms, so I could set limits by the amount of SMS & MMS and if possible by age of the message as well.

    I saw textra was using almost 100mb of ram and allowing down my phone. I deleted all my long time conversations and it shrunk down to a normal size. I would like think there has to be a issue with how it stores pics sent and received and keeping them all in active memory even if it's over a week old.
