please provide a search option to search for a particular msg or a person's name.
It's very hectic if I want search a msg among all of the messages I request you to provide a search option (like stock messaging apps have ) so that we can find a particular msg or person directly without going through entire message threads.

search by contact name was working in a an earlier version but with the newer version it's not working

can't search for a conversation thread based on a persons name still. that would be ideal

Key point: find a particular msg *or person*
The search feature in 2.3 doesn't search contact names. Really not that helpful, and definitely not "completed".
