enable quick replies on smart watches

w my built in messenger I get texts to my samsung gear watch and I can quick reply w preset text 'yes' 'no' 'almost there' 'in the car' etc. I can get my textra messages to my watch but cant reply.

    The ability to reply from the Gear S is the only thing keeping three friends of mine from using this app. This is THE best messaging app, but all of them ended up switching back to their previous apps (reluctantly) just for this one reason.

    I also have a gear, but I don't receive the text content, just a notification saying I got a message. how did you get it to show the message?
