Share photo from photo library

I think it's broken and I can't find the solution. When I'm in photos and want to text someone the photo, I click on the Textra icon from the drop down list of apps to share but when Textra launches I get a "!" only and no photo. I have uninstalled are reinstalled several times but I can't fix the problem. Either my app is broken or this needs to be enhanced.

    I can attach a photo from Gallery to a new message but can no longer enter more than a few characters of text before the image in the message disappears. Just upgraded.

    I'm having this same issue, but only recently began experiencing it. I know it used to work fine for me. Any idea on a fix?
