Save new number to Contacts
Where's the option to save a new phone number to your Contacts list? Kitkat Messaging and Messaging Classic had the ability to do this.

Thank you Carolyn that worked. Have used the Textra app for awhile now and never noticed those three dots. I seen people in conversation, guess not observant enough to notice the dots or not paying attention one

My cell phone quit and can not be brought back on line to recover anything and it is for my business and it has several important contact numbers and texts. Is there anyway you could restore any of my text messages to my phone or email for the last couple of days? Please let me know. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks Chris

When you are in Contacts the option to add a new contact is at the very top.

1. Be in the conversation
2. Click the down arrow to the right of the number. This will expand a drop down.
3. In the drop down, go down to People In Conversation
4. Press the dot dot dot to the right of People In Conversation.
5. Option to create Contact is right there. -

I have that circle with the number on the left side of my screen no matter what part is opened. Cannot add to contacts. I really need this feature so if there are any other ways, please let me know or I will have to get rid of this app.

seriously, This is a pretty pedestrian feature to ask for... how do you not allow a simple click to save to contacts?

This functionality could be easier and more intuitive. I called 4 people on the phone before I figured out how to save their number.

The advice to click # and then + to add to contacts works great. Not too elegant, but works.

This actually already exists, though it is hidden. If you click on the circle with the "#" sign in it in the top right, then click the person icon, you'll be taken to your contacts screen. Click to ADD a contact (usually the + sign or similar) and you'll create a contact with the number from Textra already added.
Fixing this is probably just an interface change, but the functionality is already there.
