single notification for all unread messages
Please provide the option for just a single notification sound (or vibration) for the first new unread message that comes in. This option would suppress all further notifications until I read the messages or clear the notifications. Then I'd again get just one notification. Android GMail has this option.
If I have the phone nearby when I'm trying to sleep, I don't want a cascade of sounds if a late night texting stream starts going. One notification is enough... then I can choose whether to look at it or ignore it, without being bothered by additional notifications if I ignore it. As it is, my only option is to turn off all notifications or silence my phone completely. Thanks!

Agreed, definitely need this option! I also have friends who send 3-6 texts in a row for no reason and it's annoying.

I second this request. I have some friends, let's call them inconsiderate texters, who will send you a small novel by text (3-6 SMSs). It's really annoying when my phone starts to explode. It would be so much nicer if Textra could take a second to evaluate how many texts are coming in from a single sender and then give us a single notification. Not all users would like this, but it would be a great setting, i.e. "Single notification for multi-part texts." Thank you for considering this.
