I am looking for this feature, too. Being able to specify a different color for the chat bubbles in each conversation (similar to what the stock Messenger app for SMS on Android allows) would be really useful and aesthetically pleasing.

Id like to see this applied to the list view as well. All my contacts are blue with first and last initial and its hard to distinguish between them from a design perspective.
