show a confirmed sent text
just something that confirms it was sent and received like a couple dots or just plain says"sent"

I like textra so much more but this is the reason I switch back and forth to the standard messaging app. My signal at my house is sketchy and it would be nice to see if my text was sent so I don't have to worry about it

+1 to this. Got sick of handcent and am trying textra. Where I live signal is spotty. With no signal the message still looks as though it sent so when signal is spotty I am left wondering if the message sent or not. Can't deal with that and will have to switch though I do really like textra otherwise.

Agreed...even with no signal or in airplane mode, messages still look like they got sent. Had to switch back to Hangouts.
