I don't understand why individual text messages, even when within a series of related messages, are not being time-stamped. This can be critically important in documenting when responses were sent. How can message headers be displayed?

Yes, it would be very useful and helpful to have each text instead of just a "group" of messages marked with a time stamp. This is my suggestion even for texts within the same conversation.
