Option to mute notifications.
An option to mute notifications from an individual or group without muting others would be awesome. Similar to the Facebook chat, you can mute a person or group that is blowing up your phone for like 5, 10, 15 minutes, etc...

J Miller's suggestion doesn't work for me. I have somehow muted notifications for one of my favorite connections and cannot find a way to unmute him. In Textra, I get the message "at your request, Android is blocking this category of notifications from appearing on this device." I can slide the notifications to On, but it won't stay. I see the dot on his texts when I open Textra, but get no notification otherwise. Going into Android settings doesn't seem to change this, either. Any hints?
Using Textra v 4.44 on an Google Pixel 4XL
UPDATE: I had to clear the cache and storage in Textra, then reboot the phone, and that worked.

They already have this. Go to the main screen as if you're doing a batch delete of multiple senders' threads. Select the same way (can select just one). Go up to top right corner. Click the dots. Select the per contact option. Once there, select the notifications option. Turn off notifications by unclicking the notification box, change individual notification sound, flash color, icon color etc there. :-)
