Badge counter

Started using textra a few weeks ago after getting the s6 edge and finding the messaging app terrible. Textra is a great app and does everything I need, however recently the badge counter shows I have 2 unread messages all of the time. I have disabled the old messaging app, cleared cache and data in my badge icon app, ensured badge counter is on, removed and re installed textra and also clicked mark all as read, but still is shows I have 2 unread messages. Any ideas?

    My counter always goes to 3 when I get a text. I open to see just one msg, close and the count disappears

    I wanted to provide an update to my last post. After I made the previous post, someone sent me a text, and low and behold, the badge showed up with the right amount of unread messages.

    A somewhat odd behavior though is that after reading one of my texts and then going back to my home screen, the badge counter disappears, until a new text arrives.

    At this point, this is workable for me as it at least is alerting me to new text messages which is good. All my other apps though, when viewing or listening to messages, still show a counter for unread messages in their badges.

    I too am having issues with my Samsung Galaxy S8+. At first badge counter was stuck. I Uninstaller, cleared cache, went into App Bade Manager and turned off and back on badge notifications, reinstalled Textra, and now no numbers show up on the badge.

    At this point I don't know what to do. I paid for the Pro Version of Textra, but it appears they are not offering any support. I use this for business, and I am constantly missing texts from people trying to get ahold of me.

    At this point, is there anyone monitoring the threads anymore?

    My device is Sony Z3 Compact badge icon is showing 1 unread message even though I mark all message as read!

    I just had it pop up on 1 message on my AT&T Samsung S7 edge. I get dozens of messages a day...however, this 1 persistently shows up as UnRead with a 1 next to it.
    Very ANNOYING

    Same problem here. This must be a bug or perhaps my phone is not compatible with the unread counter? I'm using a note 5 on Verizon. Not a custom rom or anything.

    Same here, I'm showing one on the counter. Just did an uninstall and reinstall to get rid of the notification bar icon and old text that popped up as new.

    Came here to post the same problem. I'm on the S5, same issue. I've reinstalled, reset, cleared data and cache and no luck

    Yep - this isn't a good step forward, guys. Something changed and it's degrading the functionality of your app.
