select default SIM card to send SMS in dual SIM smartphone

today there is a lot of smartphones with dual SIM card, it would be helpful to select a default SIM or SIM ask since sending SMS

    This is important. Textra does not respect the phone sim settings and I cant seem to control which sim is used for messaging overall and/or per contact.

    When is this happening?

    I agree that we should be able to set default sim to use to send sms... :)

    For some reason here is everytime Sim 2 select, but I use Sim 1 with a flat plan.
    No way to select a default Sim?

    Textra doesn't respect the default SIM choice from the Android settings, and also doesn't use the set colors for each SIM (so the error isn't obvious).
    I keep sending SMS from the wrong SIM, which costs me quite some money all the time.
