Samsung S7 Always on Display - not working

If the count shown is incorrect, do Android Settings > Applications > Application manager > more > show system apps > BadgeProvider then (Storage) [CLEAR DATA].

If the count of unread messages is not shown on the Always on Display, then that's due to the latest Samsung update for the S7. It no longer works with Google Play installed apps, including Textra SMS. If you wish to ascertain this yourself, we suggest installing Messages by Google and reporting back your findings.
