Retrieving deleted messages
Unfortunately, we are unable to retrieve deleted message (unless you've backed them up). Textra SMS never sees your messages (privacy), as they are all sent via your carrier / service provider.
FYI and future reference:
1. If a message is important to you and to ensure you do not
accidentally delete that message, please use the Textra Lock Message
Feature as detailed below:
Long hold any message bubble in any chat > Settings > Lock message.
This way, that message cannot be deleted accidentally or otherwise, without unlocking the message first.
2. Textra SMS automatically inserts a copy of all messages into the Android Stock / System messaging database.
Thus, you can backup the stock Android Stock / System messaging database on your old device, using any number of apps that do this from the Google Play store and transfer to your new device.
