resynching and uninstalling/reinstalling the app didn't work. Person is also not blacklisted. Any other suggestions? Years of messages and media from one person just gone.

Can u use textra in the UK and does it have to be to someone who has textra app also..thanks x

I found myself with these exact symptoms. What I found was that I accidentally had the conversation with my wife blacklisted... Sorry honey. Under settings at the bottom you can select the user and un-blacklist it.

I uninstalled and reinstalled and that solved the problem.

This is happening with me as well with just one recipient.

Had this happen to me. Had to uninstall and reinstall app to get the conversation back. If I created a new message with that recipient, I could see the past messages show up, but also didn't receive notifications when that person sent me a message.

Also note that a force stop of the application did not resolve the issue
