Im using textra 3.45 and having the same problem

when I delete conversions in textra, they come right back!! where do they get programmers from these days. The stock messenger is so horrible on my pixel I had to try something else. I was loving textra until now it has its own issues. dont programmers ever test?

How do I access my secure box through this app

I followed the above instructions and I lost 99% of my conversations and history. I guess it got rid of the duplicated messages... but it basically got rid of everything.

Had the same issue (some messages doubled on few consecutive updates few months ago so I had up to 8 copies of the old messages).

I finally have found an app (free) that can easily remove duplicate messages - "BackupSMS" (by kamma)

After removing duplicate messages I also did a resync in Textra (Settings -> About -> Resync Textra) and now I don't have duplicates.

Will report the Textra version if they duplicate again.

Same here. I have round and round with tmobile and it appears to be an app problem. Any updates on a fix?
I have uninstalled and reonstalled textra twice and it works for a couple days then bomb. I also checked the stock messages appp and no duplication. How fustrating.

Same for me. Samsung S5 Verizon on AT&T network. Keeps happening as updates are pushed. There needs to be a function that deletes dupe texts based on the content and timestamp. Very frustrating especially since it's a relatively easy thing to do in most programming languages.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having this issue. I just received marshmallow, seems to be when I started sending duplicates (up to 5x) in group threads.
