When your mms locks up, go to textra settings. Put your mms to system settings then move them back to legacy. This has worked for me on my fully updated Verizon android phone. Give it a try and see if it works with any reoccurring success. This is my first time trying the fix and I thought I'd get the fix up so you guys at textra could test it.
