Stop trying to contact Facebook when paid and ad-free!
Please, please, please stop trying to reach out to Facebook's ad and data gathering servers (edge-star-shv-01-lga3.facebook.com) when the user has paid for and chooses to remain ad-free.
What business does Textra have trying to talk to Facebook anyway?
My device has ABSOLUTELY ZERO Facebook apps, services or social connections onboard, and Textra attempts to reach out to Facebook (for what?!) every 3 minutes, around the clock.
Not only does this prevent the device's CPU from powering down and entering deep sleep states, unnecessarily draining the battery, but it also opens up potential security issues with data over-reach.
The attempts to reach this set of facebook hosts is clearly seen in the firewall logs.
Please give me some insight into why this is necessary.

Many users are frustrated when apps try to connect to Facebook’s ad and data servers even after they’ve paid for an ad-free experience. For instance, some messaging apps repeatedly contact Facebook servers every few minutes, despite the device having no Facebook apps, accounts, or services installed. This unnecessary background activity raises serious privacy concerns and leaves users wondering why these connections are happening at all. People expect apps to respect their choices and stop sending data when they opt out of tracking or ads.
For those who want to stay private while using social media, https://insnoop.pro/
makes it simple to view Instagram stories anonymously. Users can just paste any Instagram username to see stories or profiles without logging in or sharing personal information. It’s a safe, easy way to stay connected while keeping control over your data and avoiding unwanted tracking.

According to the following KB article, the attempts to query Facebook are for analytics gathering of device and Textra version details.
If that were true, it would only need to this once, at install time. Why does it continue to reach out to Facebook every 3 minutes, 24x7?
Something doesn't add up.
