No templates????

same as all the other comments - love the app but without templates it is just not worth using. So basic but still no inclusion??
Don't understand it.

You could have another button option in the heads up display, in the settings you create a custom message. When the notification comes in, hit the button and it sends the premade text. This would especially by good for a driving text, with only 1 button to hit and ”im driving” or whatever goes out. Your a passenger? Just hit quick reply or open app and text away as usual. You could make 3 of these custom buttons for the 3 button spaces in the heads up. For driving you get the ability without trying to make a detect speed and auto text code. Much less when people are passengers trying to have a conversation.

Why is this still not a feature?

Uninstalling. I am new to Textra, and after just installment I have discovered it misses such a basic functionality. Bye for now.

I wholeheartedly ask for this as well! I say some of the same stuff over and over and have to go copy it from my memos. I used it all the time in my stock messages app.

Damn... I literally just downloaded Textra and like but assumed that they would have a template option. Unfortunately, I am going to have to go back to my old text because they at least have templates which I need for work.

Yes please! This would be 5 star app for me if it only had a templates feature.

Yeah it is really odd, this should be one of the least technical complicated features wished for, and yet they do not implement it.

As a workaround I suggest to
* make a conversation with TWO fictitious recipients (e.g. your self or a land line numbers)
* create the templates as individual messages, and 'send'
* rename the conversation to e.g. Templates
* Select and FORWARD the template as needed

They still haven't added this feature and it's now 12/8/16 version 3.29 This is about the only feature that it lacks but it's a good one. I wish they would add it.
