It would look much more visually appealing if messages sent by the same person around the same time stuck together, and in group conversations only had their contact photo once.

Many messaging apps like Google messages, Signal, and Telegram do this, and it looks much cleaner and more visually appealing.

It's also helpful so we can better quickly understand when a message was sent, and grouping them helps group conversations.

For example: I have a group chat and sometimes my friends like to go on rants with lots of messages, and it would look so much nicer if they all bubbled together and each message didn't have their contact photo next to it.
