Copy and paste of text in sms
Would like to know if you can add copy and paste from SMS? Love the app but find if I need to copy text or address from messages I have to go back to the messaging app for that functionality. For example if I need to copy a number for an email or something I have to go back to stock.
Rolling out in release v3.25 now. If you cannot wait, please email developer@textra.me

Where the fudge is the copy and paste? Not sure why i purchased the pro version other then i hate ads. But if you cant get this implemented by the fall when the new phones come out ill be finding another program. Nothing sucks more than a friend sending an address and you cant copy and paste it into google maps.

Please add this - I won´t ever consider buying the pro version without the ability to select and copy a part of an incoming text message.

If I could apply all 50 votes to this, I would. This has been a major crater in an otherwise amazing app for years. Fix it. Fix it now.

Yea....I can copy and paste single words or whole paragraphs just like any other page with words.....what's going on with y'all's phones is beyond me...

By the way, the function to select text and copy is already baked into the Android OS. In any other app, I would simply long press an area of text, highlight what I want to copy and at the top their is an option that pops up to copy or share the text that was selected. Textra just needs to turn on this functionality!! Hello? They could still have single tap of a conversation bubble that brings up their pop-up menu to copy the entire message.

3,629 votes, mine included for this feature and 119 comments, with no response from the developer? Seem like a highly requested feature, but they march to the beat of their own drum, rolling out features, but not this one? Hmmm. It's a long-standing request by many. Never a good idea to ignore your customers, but maybe this will roll out soon??

Yes, it would be great to be able to copy and paste single words or numbers from the body of a text. Not just the whole message.

Good function to have. Copying part of the message instead of all of it would be convenient.

I can copy & paste with Textra. The options for that come up on my keyboard, and they work. I've tried it just now, on a couple of keyboards, so I'm not just talking off the top of my head.

There's an "easy" workaround for this (assuming you are not in the middle of typing a new SMS in the same conversation from which you want to copy):
1. Tap the message
2. select "COPY" to copy whole message to clipboard
3. Assuming your reply text box is empty, paste the text there
4. Select the wanted part of the text and copy it to clipboard
5. Select all & Delete to empty your reply box
6. Voila, you have the wanted text part in your clipboard -

Only feature I need is to be able to select part of a sms to copy eg a password in a sms

Especially annoying when you need to copy an address and the message has alot more words than just the address. Would be a nice feature to add!

Any up date on this. I love the app but it is very frustrating when you're trying to copy a phone number or address and have to copy the whole message

With people using phones to share and receive important information on a daily basis, this is exceptionally useful for most and critical for some. Not a deal breaker for me yet, and I'm crossing my fingers this gets added.

I would also think this is a important feature the app dont have. Now i must copy the whole sms and when i paste it to delete all the sms exept those i wanted to copy at first place.

Why is this taking so long? Getting numbers - 4 digits or more - underlined and ready to copy should be standard issue in any SMS app, really.

I, also, find it inconvenient to have to copy the entire message. Especially when I want to update or add a contact to my phone. Hope this feature gets taken into consideration soon. It will make a world of a difference.

So I'm guessing after 3 years of people asking for this feature and 1000s of votes with no response that this isn't coming any time soon?
